WAU Men’s Basketball Falls to Berkeley College 92-82

New York, NY – The Washington Adventist University (WAU) men's basketball team faced a challenging road matchup on Tuesday, December 3, falling to Berkeley College 92-82 in New York.

The game was a tightly contested battle through the first half, with both teams trading baskets and showcasing offensive firepower. However, Berkeley capitalized on key turnovers and efficient shooting to take a slim nine-point lead into halftime.

In the second half, Berkeley ramped up the pressure, extending their lead with a combination of perimeter shooting and strong inside play. WAU responded with a run of their own, fueled by Chase Cooke, who recorded 16 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and three steals, but the Knights' depth and balanced attack ultimately proved too much to overcome.

The Shock shot 41.4 percent (29-of-70) from the field, with eleven of its makes coming from long range. Harper led the Shock in scoring, finishing with 17 points and three rebounds, while Cooke followed shooting 100% from behind the arc.
